Are you eligible for this service?
Example 1: John and Mary married three years ago and separated after one year. They have no children and bought a house together and both paid an equal deposit on the house. They apply for our Managed divorce and Clean break order. They qualify because they both agreed on a divorce on the grounds of two years separation and consent and we also drew up a Clean break order where they agreed to sell the house and divide the sales proceeds of the house 50/50. They were divorce and had their financial settlement agreement within 4 months.
Example 2: Alec and Fiona married 4 years ago and they separated after 2 years. They were both unemployed and had few expensive belongings between them. They had lived together in rented accommodation and there were no children. They apply for our Managed divorce and Clean break order. They qualify because they both agreed on a divorce on the grounds of unreasonable behavior and we also drew up a Clean break order where it was agreed that Alec would take over the flat that they had rented and keep their cat Percy, while Fiona took her furniture away and moved it to her new flat where she now lives. We arranged for a quick divorce, spoke with both Alec and Fiona and convinced them that the clean break order was right for both of them. 4 months later they were divorce and also had their financial settlement agreement within 4 months. Also there was no court fee to pay because Alec was unemployed at the time so he started the divorce which meant that he qualified for fee exemption of the court fee, so made that saving.

** Clean Break Order - This fixed fee service is for couples who are getting divorced where the division of their financial assets are agreed or they have little or few financial assets to divide up. You and your spouse will each have to sign an agreement which we will prepare for you and we will send it to the court for approval confirming to the court what your assets are. However it may not be suitable for marriages where there is probably no agreement or for those with property where there is a disagreement on how the money assets are to be divided.
However in the cases where it later becomes clear that there is not going to be agreement we can still act for you but we will then quote you separately on the likely costs, which will include negotiation on your behalf and may include applying to your local Family Court to decide on how the money assets are to be divided in the event that your spouse is not going to be reasonable in their demands. In the event that there is no agreement we quote you separately on any cost going forward. Our charging rates are £145 plus vat per hour and we can also arrange for professional representation at any family court hearing if necessary.
* All quotes will always be confirmed in writing with you first before any further work is done.
* Any fees quoted will be guaranteed in advance and competitive.
